Transportation

Public transportation

The fastest and most cost-effective way to get around Chicago is with its public transportation system, the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA). Locals refer to the trains as the “L”. It runs both above and below ground and provides a fun way to see and experience the Windy City while getting around The Loop.

The CTA visitor pass is a great way to travel. Just tap your pass as you enter the bus or train. Check out the CTA website for the latest news, travel alerts, and fares.

Pro Tip: You can't reload your pass while traveling, so make sure you add money at train stations or a nearby Walgreens before riding.

Taxis & rideshares

Catching a cab is fast and easy while in Chicago but the fares can add up. Rideshares are an excellent and affordable alternative.

Lyft, Arro, Curb, Via, and Uber are rideshare options in the Chicago area that will get you from point A to point B as you need.

Make sure you download their apps if you want to take advantage of their services.

Walking

Chicago is a large city but easy to navigate on foot if the weather permits it. Many of the Windy City’s most popular attractions are close to one another.

It may help to think of Chicago as a vertical city with Lake Michigan as its eastern border. The city’s numerical grid system makes it an easy directional reference, every address is relative to the 0/0 mark, the intersection of State Street and Madison. Every eight blocks equals one mile.

Walking allows you fresh air while you take in the historical architecture, art, and culture of the bustling downtown Chicago area.

Hop on Hop Off Bus Tour

The Hop on Hop Off Bus Tour of Chicago is a flexible way to see popular Chicago tourist attractions. They operate daily from 10 am to 5 pm with buses running every 30 minutes.

There are 11 stops throughout the city where you can — you guessed it — hop on and off the bus. Just show your pass when you hop on the bus, this freedom allows you to explore the Windy City at your own pace. You’ll be able to see the desired spots like the Magnificent Mile, Shedd Aquarium, Skydeck at Willis Tower, Alder Planetarium, Field Museum, and Millennium Park.

Passes are available for 24- or 48-hour periods. Go ahead and discover Chicago with guided English commentary, onboard wi-fi, and an open rooftop deck.

FAQ

Where do you deliver?

We Rent Copiers can deliver equipment to any venue within Chicago and beyond!

Many of our customers request delivery to hotel conference rooms, but we’ve also sent equipment to stadiums, corporate campuses, museums, trade shows, and similar locations.

How does the rental process work?

We Rent Copiers offers a wide selection of office equipment, from commercial copiers, color copiers, copy machines, and laser printers to satellite and mobile internet.

After browsing our product selection, request a quote to receive our rental rates. A member of our sales team will help you finalize your order and confirm your details at the best price.

Your equipment will arrive at your requested location and will be ready to use by the start date you select.

When your rental and copier lease period ends, our team will return to collect the equipment. This is all included with our copier services.

Does my printer or photocopier come with everything pre-installed?

Yes. Anything you might need (toner, data plans, etc.) will be included with your rental.

If you have specific business needs for your Chicago copier and printer rentals, please let our sales team know.

Will I get the exact equipment model that I order?

Often, yes.

However, similar to a rental car agency, we carry a variety of models that offer similar performance.

Depending on warehouse availability, you may receive comparable equipment that varies slightly from your initial selection.

For example, we list HP Laserjet printers in our product selection, but we may send a comparable Kyocera or Canon copier if our primary models are unavailable.

Do you rent specific printer brands? (Panasonic, Toshiba, Xerox, Lexmark, etc.)

We primarily offer Sharp copiers, although we keep other brands in our warehouse.

If you need a specific model, we will try to accommodate your request with your copy machine rental and print services.

Can I come pick up my rental?

Unfortunately, no.

Most of the commercial equipment we carry is too heavy to place inside a standard vehicle. (Nobody wants to load a Sharp Copier in the back of their car!)

We offer hands-off delivery and ship things quickly, especially if it’s local.

Can I extend the length of my rental?

Yes! All rental contracts can be extended beyond their initial end date.

In the event you need to retain your equipment, contact our support team.
